Dam Slam Pickleball Tournament

The Dam Slam Pickleball Tournament is back at Osage Park!
Show off your skills, meet new people, and compete for prizes.
There are divisions for all levels of play, so join us for a fun pickleball filled weekend!

June 7th: Mens Doubles & Womens Doubles
June 8th: Mixed Doubles

Tournament Format

Check In/Packet Pick Up will open at 7:00am each day. We will stagger category start times based on the number of teams in each category. Division start times will be anounced the week of the tournament.

The Dam Slam is a round robin tournament based on skill levels. Most round robin tournaments will take around three to four hours to finish. Medals/prizes will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.

Tournament Details

If an event has 3 teams entered, the event will be a double round robin with matches consisting of 2 out of 3 games to 11 points (win by 2). Medals determined by round robin standings – no medal rounds. 

If an event has 4 teams entered, the event will be a double round robin with matches consisting of one game to 15 points (win by 2). Medals determined by round robin standings – no medal rounds.

If an event has 5 teams entered, the event will be a double round robin with matches consisting of 2 out of 3 games to 11 points (win by 2). Medals determined by round robin standings – no medal rounds.

If an event has 6 to 9 teams entered, the event will be a single round robin with matches consisting of one game to 15 points (win by 2). Medals determined by round robin standings – no medal rounds.

If an event has 10 to 16 teams entered, the event will be split into two pools with the top two teams advancing out of each pool to play in the medal rounds. All matches (pool play and medal rounds) will be one game to 15 points (win by 2).

Registration

The Dam Slam is a Skill Level tournament. Registration is by Skill Level.

Doubles partners must sign up at the skill level of the higher-rated partner. If you have a published USA Pickleball Tournament rate, please sign up based on this. If you do not have a USA Pickleball Tournament rating, please feel free to self rate. Each individual will register separately. Please be sure to write in your partners name during registration, which will allow us to match you up on the backend.

2.5 – Beginner/Novice (First tournament? This category is for you!)
3.0 – Novice
3.5 – Intermediate
4.0 – Advanced

Cost

$40 per person (each teammate must register separately)
$60 if playing doubles + mixed tournaments

Event Chair

Taylor Ruscoe (Senior Merchant – Sporting Goods, Walmart) is honored to serve as the Event Chair for this year’s Pickleball Series. A native of Western North Carolina, he and his family have called Bentonville home for nearly 10 years. He currently leads the Sports business at Walmart where Pickleball has become a huge part of his growth strategy. He’s passionate about the sport being a tool to gather the Northwest Arkansas community in support of the Peel Compton Foundation and looks forward to participating!
