Community Picnic

Description

WAY BACK THEN, BACK THEN, AND NOW

Join us for Community Picnic at Peel Museum & Botanical Garden as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary together. We’ll honor “way back then” with a nod to 1776, explore “back then” through the story of the Peel Museum built in 1875, and celebrate “now” with a joyful day of community in the gardens.

Your ticket includes a full afternoon of food, fun, and hands-on activities for all ages. Enjoy burgers, hot dogs, snacks, drinks, and ice cream while taking in live music and historical dancing. Meet Patriot, a female bald eagle from the World Bird Sanctuary, and connect with local American heroes from the Arkansas National Guard, Bentonville Police Department, and Bentonville Fire Department.

Kids and families can enjoy face painting, balloon artists, caricatures, yard games, inflatable games, a community paper chain, scavenger hunts, and a train mystery box activity. Step into the past with hands-on heritage experiences like soap making, textiles, tallow cream making, pie fun, pinch pot crafts, and create-your-own flags.

This is a can’t-miss community celebration filled with food, fun, history, and unforgettable moments for all ages!
