Can You Rise to the Challenge?

Since opening in November 2022, The Rise has been one of the most used and loved features of fitness enthusiasts at Coler Mountain Bike Preserve. Now, we’re raising the stakes with the ultimate test of endurance and skill: The Rise Challenge!

  • Race Dates: August 17th & November 9th
  • Registration Fee: $50 – includes both races!
  • Choose Your “Division” (Race Time): 7 am, 8:15 am, or 9:30 am

The female and male racers that complete the most rounds (up & down = 1) for each race time will be crowned the Queen and King of their division!

There will also be crowned an overall day winner, and overall challenge winner, and most improved. Whether you’re aiming for the top spot, looking to push your limits, or can only make it to 1 race day, there’s a medal waiting for you!

Legendary DJ, Scotty 2 Wheels, will provide tunes for participants!

The Rise Challenge Official Rules

Welcome to Coler and thank you for taking on The Rise Challenge with us! To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attending, participants are expected to understand and follow these rules at all times during the event.

  • Race date: Saturday August 17th
  • Start Times: 7:00 am | 8:15 am | 9:30 am
  • Participants will ascend from the starting line at the bottom of the stairs and continue up until crossing the designated finish line at the top around the blue Coler flag.
  • The female and male racers, that complete the most rounds (up & down = 1 lap) in 60 minutes will be crowned the Queen and King of their division.
  • Participants are responsible for starting on time and must be in the area 10 minutes before the start.
  • After each lap completed, you must report to the official tracking table for your lap to count.
  • All participants must have their number attached to the shirt at all times during the race.
  • Mass start.
  • You may take a bottle of water with you. There will be a hydration station as well.
  • You may use the handrail for support.
  • You may skip steps.
  • Competitors may stop. If so, stay to the right, hold on to the railing, and allow other participants pass on the left
  • Announce yourself when passing.
  • Must finish the last lap within 60 minutes for it to count.
  • Prizes will be awarded to top male and female in each time division, no age groups.
